At home exercises

Just wondering if anybody has any suggestions for things I can do to burn some extra calories at home, like at night when the kids are home from school and I have a spare half hour.
I can't run as I have plantar fasciitus and it makes it a lot worse so during the day I try to get some walking in and also follow a weight lifting video on YouTube 3x a week. I don't have time or money to go to classes so it needs to be stuff I can just do. Thanks in advance.

No money to spend on DVD's? There are tons of things you can do and using You Tube is a good one to use.
Depending on the space you available in your home and depending on where you are starting in your exercise program you wish to begin you should look for things that you can do based on your current physical activity and level you are starting from. You always want to learn proper form of every exercise first and foremost as safety is always first.
Do not have a specific program to give you but you can look up body weight exercising, convict conditioning, if you have no weights, you can use milk jugs, bags of flower, fill coke bottles with sand, you can use the kitchen chairs to perform things like bench dips (just an example), you can even exercise holding your kids if they are not too big to carry around...lol
You can get very creative on what and how you exercise.. the things you can do are limitless... and cheap.
You need to have a goal in mind first..0 -
My goal is to lose weight and tone up,arms, thighs and tummy area. I have the insanity DVDs but I lost interest. I have weights 1.5kg,2.5kg and 4.5kg a pair of each.0

You've probably heard this a hundred times, but for those days where it's super gross out and I don't want to go to the gym (I live in NH so the winter is super harsh!), I LOVE Blogilates's youtube videos! She also has calendars with pre-fab workouts for each day if you want them, but I usually just pick whatever body part I would have usually worked out in the gym (arms, legs, abs, etc) and do a few of her w/o videos relating to that. It's all Pilates, so it's super good with toning/strengthening. Not much cardio involved, though.0
