Hi
I'm a newbie here and getting fit has been on my mind for a while. Life happened over the past three years and I've steadily put on weight. I'm looking for some folks to help me through the journey, I have a 35 lbs to lose. Would help if there are people who are willing to make sure I'm accountable

I started in December 2013, I've lost 121 pounds. I found eating six times a day works for me. I also do the 10,000 step challenge. You can find that on the Internet. I also do not eat anything that has more than 4 g of sugar or 4 g of fat. And I only eat until I feel comfortable. Through that time I have been known to backslide, but not more than one or two days. This is my lifestyle. I have Inc. two protein drinks per day. I hope this helps. This is what works for me. PS I do not drink soda or caffeinated coffee, Only water with the flavoring. I have a small lunch box in the car that's filled with low calorie snacks. So when I go on road trips I'm not bound by Road food. This is one of the biggest help to me.

Great advice @cap3737, congratulations on your success. I agree, cutting soda and sugar from the diet goes a long way. I don't have any pop but have some way to go in reducing sugar intake. We try to cook most meals at home.

When it comes to soda not only is the sugar a factor but it's carbonated when you drink carbonated soda or carbonated water it expands your stomach, that causes your stomach to expand and you feeling hungry. Hope this helps
