I'm just starting my journey. I love this app so far. Would love to connect with others.

My Dr recommended this app along with a weight loss program through Swedish. I have about 50 lbs to loose. Right now I am weighing everyday and journaling food to see what my normal bad habits are. I am going to informational weight loss meeting on Monday. I hope to share what I learn. Program was selected by me and Dr to hold me more accountable. Swedish dietians, nutritionalist, and Dr are using this app in their program too. So....let the journey begin!

    I have been on MFP for serveral years and was off and on. However 7 weeks ago yesterday I got back from vacation and weighed myself and got my wake up call. We all have one. That day when finally you realize you need to and are ready to get real and stick to it. That was my day. I am now less then a pound away from having lost 20lbs. I have over 38 lbs more to loose so I still have a ways to go, but this time I'm not stopping for anything.

    Beside just reaching that point of serious commitment I have also found a major difference this time and it is my group of committed friends on MFP. I have a great group now who log daily and go on the news feed and comment and like and just generally support one another. If you don't have a good group I suggest you look for one. If you are committed to logging and supporting friends on news feed feel free to add me. I would be happy to help you along your restart. Either way I wish you a path of commitment support and success.

    Hi, I'm pretty new here as well. I wish you well with your program. I think accountability is what it's all about (at least for me). I'm on Jenny Craig for that very reason, but losing very slowly. I like the prepped food because I'm not real good with portion control.

    I finally came here so I could be more real about all of the little "extras" I've been adding. I love that I can account for wine, a Tablespoon of Parmesan, a dab of butter etc. It sure adds up. I was putting a sprinkle of sunflower seeds on my salads. I had no idea that they were 190 calories per Tablespoon :-0. No wonder I'm losing so slowly. Now I can see that I was adding too many little extras and I can make choices. I can have my wine 5 ounces at a time but not without giving up desert. I measure everything. Great website!

    Anyway, I'm doing this with my sister in law on here but thought I'd reach out and say hello instead of just lurking all the time. My main problem is lack of exercise. It's so dreary, rainy and cold that I seem to wimp out on my walks. I need motivation there for sure.
