Anyone know if exercise in bed "counts"?

Okay, so I was sick for a few days
and didn't do my regular walking and exercise routine. But, I drummed up enough energy to work out in bed---ah, ha! Some of you thought I was talking about the Bedroom Hustle, didn't you???
I did a crunches, leg lifts and modified push ups. That's all I could do! Does that count as "exercise"????? I just don't know if the soft surface or the bed "bounce" helping me lift and crunch was an effective way to exercise?

I would think that yes it should count!!!
Also, the bedroom hustle counts too:laugh:0 -

The surface will affect it. Honestly? I wouldn't count it. Not towards clarories burned anyway. You don't burn much from those exercises anyway, they are more for toning. Also if you're sick in the future... don't worry about exercise, worry about getting well.0

Be careful to not exercise if you have a fever. Exercising while feverish will burn muscle rather than fat0

ya i'd say that if your doing cruches or what not and u FEEL like your working your muscles then i'd say ur toning...but i doubt it could count as cardio as ur heart needs to be pumping for that.....glad ur feeling better tho.....
i didn't know about the fever thing either.....good to know0 -
yes, I did think you meant "bedroom aerobics" I almost choked on my goulash when I saw your post. Way to get folks attention:bigsmile: :drinker: :drinker:0

I've heard of this and tend to agree. If Im literally sick, flu, fever, whatev, Im not gonna go workout, forget it. I have noticed that I am not getting any bugs this Winter, knock on wood. Although, I think I may have gotten just a little bit of an upset stomach over something that maybe I ate.
Thank you, denise:)Be careful to not exercise if you have a fever. Exercising while feverish will burn muscle rather than fat0
