Hi, my name is Jennifer and this is my second time on my fitness pal. The first time didn't end well, so I'm back again with a positive attitude! My goal is 50 pounds in 4 months. Feel free to add me. I would like to give support and wouldn't mind getting some support!! More friends through my weight loss journey the better!

    Hi Jennifer, I have the same goal! I've had this app for a longtime but haven't used it. Looking for motivation friends as well!

    It's great to have goals, but almost 3lb per week is probably not doable in a healthy way for someone who has 50lb to lose.

    To lose that much weight in that time would require a significant deficit in calorie allowance, and such a low calorie allowance wouldn't allow for the body's nutrition requirements. It also isn't sustainable.

    Perhaps aim for 2lb per week initially, then lower to 1lb per week once you reach 20lb lost...

    I'd love to be able to do this but hasn't gone well it would be nice to follow you on your journey and hopefully be able to learn a few of your tips and things as I have similar weight loss goal x
