Would me eating at my bmr cause weight gain? 1,200 is killing me so I adjusted to lose 1 lb a week and it gave me a cal count around my bmr. I do not want to risk gaining.

Eating at your BMR will not cause you to gain weight. Please read the stickies in the getting started section and learn.

BMR is how much your body burns if you were in a coma. I'm sure you walk around a bit during the day, cook dinner, clean, go shopping, and other activities. Those are calories you burn above and beyond your BMR and that's not even factoring in exercise, which is why MFP gives you more calories to eat when you do exercise.

Your BMR is just the number of calories it takes to keep your organs running and your heart beating. You have nothing to worry about. It's your TDEE you don't want to risk approaching. That's Total Daily Energy Expenditure. TDEE is the number of calories you would have to eat to stay at the same weight you are right now. It's fine to be over your BMR, it's bad to be over your TDEE. But MFP is smart. It's not gonna put you over your TDEE. Do go and read the posts listed under "Most Helpful posts" at the top of the page General Diet and Weight Loss Help:)
