I've been at it for a week and 2 days now I've only lost 2 pounds....
I'm not complaining because every pound counts , it's not a lot of progress but it's progress. I'm trying to learn how to appreciate the process because I know it takes time. I thought I would have lost at least 4lbs by now. I cut out all sugary drinks and sodas, no candy or sweets unless its fruit...
I'm more than sure I'm logging my food correctly. I just

Two pounds in nine days is a lot of progress.
Your expectations may not be realistic.0 -
Are you using a food scale?
Give it another week. It's too early to make a call. Your body is still adjusting.

That's not slow weight loss and it is progress.
The fact that 1-2 pounds per week is cited as a healthy rate of loss does not mean that you will lose 2 pounds per week. The fact that you choose "lose 2 pounds per week" in your MFP profile does not mean that you will lose 2 pounds per week.0 -
I didn't lose my first 2 weeks. Not sure why. I was expecting that water weight loss. It came after about 10 days. Then it dropped fast for several days.
Like you, I knew I was eating far less. So it had to show up some time!0 -
2 pounds in a week is VERY good progress and realistic too. I think you need to lower your expectations a little. In an ideal world, we'd click our fingers and be at goal weight but it doesn't work like that. Keep at it0

its actually not healthy to lose more than 2lbs a week. so youre doing fine.
i dont get why everyone here is like looking for some miracle. you did not gain it over night, you will not lose it overnight. plain and simple. yes sometimes people experience slightly dramatic losses their first few weeks, but not everyone (and i've never seen more than 5ish lbs jsyk) will, and thats all generally water weight.
keep at what youre doing and you will get to your goal and dont stress if you arent seeing results as fast as you want.
have you also ever considered measuring yourself? i find that even sometimes when the scale doesnt move, the inches will have.0 -
That is rather fast. I am lucky if I lose one pound after that period of time.0

Totally agree with others. 2 pounds in 9 days is not slow. It's an appropriate, healthy amount.0

whaat? this is really good progress!! anything more would have probably just been water weight. Enjoy the journey along the way and the good things you are doing for your body. keep it up!0

How is that slow??? 2 lbs in a week is in no way considered slow progress.0
