I made a salad for dinner tonight which came out to around 320 calories (lettuce, avacado, spanish olives, tomato, egg white, bologna slices, balsamic dressing)...

... and ate half before feeling stuffed... what the hell!?

    salad can be really filling with the fiber and carbs in the veggies and the protein from the bologna and eggs. It's not a bad thing! Definitely helps with portion control. Try grilling a chicken breast sometime and cutting it up to mix in, that's my personal favorite and it's got lots of good protein for low cals :)

    I LOVE grilled chicken! My dad happened to have just brought home cold cuts so I figured I'd use them :p

    I had a yummy filling salad tonight too, although probably not enough veggies:

    Heaps of mixed greens
    blue cheese crumbles
    toasted pecans
    chopped apple
    grilled chicken
    marzetti's spinach salad dressing
  • Be careful using cold cuts because of high sodium content.
