Hi guys, I've recently had to go gluten free and due to medication I'm also trying to loose weight! Is there anyone else in a similar situation? Alothough this app looks like it's going to be an amazing help I wondered if there was anyone that could offer some tips or food items??

I have been gluten free for close to 2yrs. Make sure to stay away from gluten substitute products such as gluten free bread or pasta. They contains high amount of sugar in them.

The first month of no bread was really hard but after that it gets a LOT better (The cravings go away and you feel better).

Ok thank you! Can I ask what sort of lunches would you have now? That seems to be where I struggle the most

Leftovers are the easiest lunches for me. Pepperonis, cheese, veggies, dips, eggs. Just avoid thinking sandwich and muffin and it gets easier.... Well, the first month or two are tricky but once you create new habits it becomes easy. Good luck.

Lunches are the hardest part for me too. Leftovers like mentioned above are great. I always make enough at dinner time for a day or two of lunch. (I try to keep 2 or 3 days of leftovers frozen so that if for some reason I don't have leftovers one night I still have something I can grab the next day). For days when I know I won't have access to a microwave I pack rice cakes with peanut butter, some fruit, and if I'm really hungry some type of chip or gluten free pretzel.

One of my go to foods is to make Nacho Tacos. I make a "dip" of lettuce, tomatos, ground beef, and for me ketchup (some might prefer salsa or some other sauce and then use GF tortilla chips and dip into it.
