I am a HUGE caffeine addict. I mean on a daily basis I would consume anywhere from 6-8 sodas a day!! Not to mention a few cappuccinos. It's horrible!! I am on day 4 of a better healthier me and I think I am doing pretty good. I have been able to limit my soda intake to only 2 a day so far. I hope to be able to get down to 0 eventually. I am already feeling the "withdraws" of not having all that caffeine. I am getting KILLER headaches :/ Any ideas of what I can do to get them away? I have went from drinking no water at all daily to anywhere from 6 to 9 cups!! I've only just started but I am soooo proud of myself! One advantage I have already noticed is I am able to fall asleep at night again finally! :P

Put the pepsi down and step away. It will take some time but you will get over it. 1 soda is like eatin 3-4 full size candy bars. You could lose all you weight just by cutting out the soda and switching to water.

My fiancé is a police officer and he had to get off caffeine because if he didn't have a coffee as soon as he woke up he would have a headache all day. It was making him. Miserable. After a week he started to feel great. He wasn't as moody and now 3 months later he still doesn't drink caffeine. So u can do it!

maybe you can substitute those pepsis for coke zero or diet pepsi. honestly, once you start cutting down and completely get rid of the soda, you will try the soda a few months later thinking it will be amazing but you'll be disgusted by its taste. the sooner you get rid of it the better. You are doing great though by substituting it for so much water! Just try taking some advil or ibuprofen and keep drinking water.

Honestly, the only way to get rid of the headaches is to wait it out. Your body has to readjust to not having the caffeine before they will go away.

Unfortunately the headaches are your body withdrawing from the caffeine. Drink plenty of water and wait it out. Last (and final) time I kicked coffee it took a goo week of headaches to kick. herbal tea helped a little. It helped thinking about the fact that it's nothing more than a glass of sugar with no nutritional value. I have decided that anything I eat much both taste good and have some value nutritionally.

I was just like that! except with any kind of soda. When I stopped drinking it I did have headaches but it only lasted about a week and I knew I was doing it for the right reasons. I never drink soda now. I will on sometimes get plain seltzer. I never understood how people could drink seltzer but now I like it. I think sometimes I just like the carbonation of it! lol It might help you

Im a Pepsi addict as well! Because its the one weakness I really dont want to give up, I havent but I did switch to Diet Pepsi and cut back on my intake. I dont believe that you have to give up all of your favorite stuff to loose weight or be healthy. I have lost 33lbs so far still drinking soda. The problem is that when you see how much sodium is in soda and that it makes you retain water, and adds lots of calories if you arent drinking diet, it should help motivate you to reduce your soda intake. Plus, even the diet versions have chemicals that arent good for you. It is definitely best if you can walk away from soda altogther, but if you choose not to just watch your intake and log in the calories!

    Good luck!

Coke is my weakness! However recently I have stopped drinking it all together! :( I drink water now, with crystal light, not that it does anything for the caffeine withdrawals. I found that it took me about 2 weeks to finally feel normal without! GL!
