If it can keep cancer at bay it must be a great diet. At my age I need all the help I can get Look like a good plan for everyone. Caliecat

I've not heard of it, but I assume it's rich in antioxidants, low in artificial preservatives etc?

@ Caliecat - as a general skeptic on diets that claim to do all sorts of stuff, I googled this, and it looks incredibly sensible to me. My background is genetics, including cancer genetics.

I found his website here - http://www.anticancerbook.com/steps.html - and going through his advice on diet and general living, it all seems logical, and scientifically pretty sound (if where there isn't proven evidence that I know of to support some of the choices, the choices certainly aren't going to do any harm).

Looks pretty good! You may also want to check out a new documentary that just came out called "Forks Over Knives" that talks about a very similar approach and features a pretty compelling success stories: http://forksoverknives.com/

Very interesting! We have a lot of cancer in my family, I desperately want to avoid it--at all cost!

Marie...I am going to look for this book this weekend. Doesn't sound too different from the way I already try to eat but I wanted to see if there was anything different. Will let you know when I read it...

    Donna,
I am please with it so far. I am just playing around with it till I get my book. i know I have goof up on some things. But I think it is worth a try. I was hoping there would be someone who has been on it while to see how she likes it. And how well she has done. Glad you are going to look into it. Keep me inform of what you think. Marie
