I used to be an avid bowler before life stole my time. As in I was in 3 leagues per week, hours bowling per week. There's a HUGE difference between bowling socially where you swing a ball once every five minutes, vs when you speed up the pace. Casual, social bowling is nothing. Completing a game in under ten minutes by yourself is good for exercise IMHO.0

I would say it can be a part of a healthy lifestyle. As long as you're not grazing on the bowling alley food, guzzling the beer and soda. It's a great social activity and can be a way of not being a couch potato but unless you're running laps in the alley between balls it's not getting your heartrate up enough.0

Thanks. I guess it's a social thing then.0

For a casual game, I would take at MOST 1/3 of the time in the alley as exercise. You spend a lot of time standing around waiting.0
