If your one of your friends said "Comment here or be deleted"....would you comment?

(I've seen posts like this, that says something like "cleaning out my friends list, if you don't want to be deleted comment here" etc)

Just curious if you would comment or not? I think it almost feels like a dare. lol

Meh. That would be kind of a lame reason to comment on something.

I wouldn't comment. Being deleted isn't a big deal. The way I see it...

    1) if I have been supportive to the person, and they still decide to delete me just because I didn't comment on that single post, that's not a big loss.

    2) If I haven't been doing much to show my support to that person, that's not a big loss either, is it?

I never comment. If they want to remove me, that's their prerogative. It does seem like a dare or ultimatim and I'm not going to play games.

I've seen that several times too. I guess if you're one of those people who added dozens of "friends", "friends of friends", "game neighbor", I could understand Personally, my friends know my feelings. I don't need to do a survey question

I haven't seen those, but when I get a email that states, "forward this to 10 people who you think are awesome including the sender!" I always delete.

I think if I had a MFP "friend" that shallow, I would comment "*kitten* OFF!" and do a pre-emptive delete on my end. I graduated high school 22 years ago...I work for a living, I don't sit on MFP waiting for the honor of commenting on a friend's status. Thank God my MFP peeps are the best on here and it is a non issue...

Eh, if I've been posting to them and they still need something like this then they're free to delete me.

More importantly, what kind of handgun are you shooting there in your profile pic?! I did a little shooting today and it made me realize how badly I've missed it since I haven't been in awhile! :)

I'd rather be deleted. Facebook is for collecting friends. MFP is for people to support me in my journey, and for me to support them. If you're gonna delete me for not playing your stupid game, I don't want you as my friend!

I would probably remove them before they could remove me. I'm here for my health, not to play childish games. I want support from my FRIENDS, not games from people that obviously aren't supporting the people around them very well. I'm always looking for that genuine support system.

I've seen my share of those posts and I never comment. MFP is just a popularity contest for some people.

I wouldn't use the same terms, but I agree whole heartedly with this. Couldn't have said it better than this...I didn't even play this game in highschool!

I've seen people do this too!!! The way I see it, the poster is looking to have their ego stroked by all their 'friends' who start BEGGING/PLEADING to stay on their list. ITS PATHETIC! I'd rather be deleted if someone is that high-maintenance that they need to have their butt kissed. If you wanna keep someone, keep them. If you don't, delete them.... that simple.
