BPA lined cans are the cans that are lined with the white looking lining? Right?

So the cans that you see metal (not lined) are actually better for you since they are not lined in plastic - right?
I'm buying canned tomatoes and sometimes the can comes lined and others not.
I can open one can of Hunts and open another one and one is lined and another not.
And the newer one was not lined (exp date).
So that means that companies are moving away from BPA lining them, and going back to old fashioned metal.
I go to all kinds of different stores to shop, so it could be the store.

No clue!
I've never bought tomatoes that came in a plastic can. What kind were they?0 -
No, the lining can be transparent. I think if you care about that all you can do is contact the company or seek out cans that say BPA-free.
Here's a list with some brands: http://www.inspirationgreen.com/bpa-lined-cans.html0 -
Unless you're eating the can you'll be fine, either way.0

For tomatoes, you can buy in glass containers. Also this.

If you're really worried, you could can your own food. It's cheap and you can make things exactly the way you want them, so all kinds of goodness.
You can even reuse the jars.0
