Walking around the supermarket today I told my family that tonight I wanted fish and though I usually just cook the same for everyone, since it was a saturday they could have pizza instead if they wanted. They did, obviously.

My 10 yr old son then asked if instead of the goodfellas takeaway pizza we would usually get, could they make the wholewheat homemade pitta pizzas that I made for us (from a post on MFP)... and my partner and 5yr old daughter all agreed.

Nothing as good as the feeling that by being healthier I am setting an example and giving them the opportunity to make better choices about their lifestyles in the future.

xx

That's great! Getting your kids involved and educated on good nutrition means that they may not have as many problems as we have. I live to think that if when I was at school someone, be it my parents or teachers had taught me, I wouldn't have gotten to 300lbs and have to now take the slow journey of getting it off again.
