Fitbit help!

I got my Fitbit charge HR last night and I'm concerned that it's logged 307 steps last night. I do have a baby that I get up to feed but I definitely did not do anywhere near that number of steps. Anyone else have this problem? If it was just a few steps I wouldn't mind but 300 is a lot!

I have just ordered a fit bit flex and am really worried about its accuracy, so much so that I'm debating wether or not to cancel the order! I don't see how it can be accurate without a HRM strap or something

The fitbit is just an advanced pedometer and picks up on movement that it assumes are steps. I have a flex and it will sometimes add a few extras during the day if I move my arm too much, but it's not a significant amount....unless it's a constant movement -I once gained 1000+ steps knitting.

I bet you did and you probably didn't realize it. Do you have it set to your dominant or non dominant hand? Were you rocking the baby? It may have picked that up as steps. I find mine is fairly accurate.

You might be surprised at how many steps you can get in w/o leaving your home. I was.

One thing I do to help (I think) make my FItbit more accurate is that I wear it on my left (non-dominant) hand but have the setting set for my dominant hand. It makes it a little less sensitive.

And I agree that it may have picked up some steps if you were rocking your baby. You can go on your Dashboard and mark that time to correct the activity.

I have a Fitbit One and find it quite accurate.

I have the a Fitbit Charge and 300 steps really isn't much so this is probably accurate. I usual have this much 15 minutes after getting up just doing my morning routine.

After wearing it for the day, I've changed the setting to dominant hand and I do think it's accurate, I am surprised at how much I actually move!! All in all I'm quite impressed with it.

I had a flex, but it wasn't really appropriate for my worm environment. Sounds like you have it figured out. I now use a Zip, and I find that it has been pretty accurate. As long as I am eating less than it tells me I am burning, I lose regularly. Best wishes with the little one.
