Going to start a strict diet so I can get in shape before a trip to Miami in January. Anyone would like to be friends let's talk.

Hey, former Austinite here.
Just a couple of words from experience. A "strict" diet may not be the best approach for weight loss if it is not possible to maintain the diet long term. Major dietary restrictions and big caloric deficits tend to make adhering the diet unnecessarily difficult. IMHO, the best approach to weight loss is "eat less, move more" - a moderate caloric deficit combined with moderate physical activity. However, "move more" is not mandatory as long as the appropriate caloric deficit is maintained.

Hey there, thank you for commenting and giving really good information. When I say strict diet it's more so I eat the same thing daily so it's easy to maintain and have my macros in check.
I work from home so I jump rope and gym every morning before starting my work day. Hopefully I'll be able to reach my goal but if not I'll be in better shape then I am currently and that would be great either way.0 -
