Animal Shelter- Motivating Exercise

Hey All!
Just wanted to throw this out there; If you like dogs and are looking for some staying active motivation Animal Shelters are usually always looking for volunteers to walk the dogs. I have been doing it for a bit now and absolutely love it. I could easily walk them all day because the dogs love it so much. It costs nothing but a bit of time. You win, the pups win, everyone wins. Most shelters just require you to attend an orientation and be over 18. Check your local shelter's website for info. If it is something you think you may enjoy I definitely recommend giving it try!
~Cheers!~

To even add an extra bonus to your walk. There is this great app called "charity miles". Every mile you do whether you run, walk, or bike (indoor or outdoor) goes to a charity that you choose from a list. There is a list of about 20 different charities to choose from (ASPCA is on there; we have all seen those commercials with the sad animals asking for help) you pick the charity you want and just start logging those miles! It's completely free to sign up and join!0

@KittyInBoots Hehe, I know. My husband's look when I told him what I was going to do was pretty great. A mixture of trepidation while doing the mental math of how many dogs we were going to end up with. However, we have a dog and a cat and could build an extra pet with the fur they shed now. I'm good-lol.0
