What type of squash is this?

Hi, I'm a big fan of winter squashes. I purchased the squash shown a couple of weeks ago. I'm not sure if I knew what type it was when I made the purchase; but if I did, I can't remember. I tried searching images and squash identification charts online. However, I'm still quite unsure. At first I thought it was a blue hubbard, but then I realized the shape was unlike the hubbards I had eaten in the past. The types of squashes I believe it most closely resembles are supposed to taste like pumpkins, and I'm not really in the mood for that sort of flavor today. I am not certain about this though, as mine seems to look slightly different from these pictures. So I was wondering if anyone knows specifically what type this is? I would like to know what sort of taste to expect prior to prep. Thank you so much!

It looks a bit like a button squash.

I'd say any winter squash recipe will do.0 -
I don't think it's a button squash. It doesn't quite have the 'jig-saw' curvature I have seen on those. I'm not so much concerned about recipes (squash pro lol), rather I'd like to know what it will taste like because I'm not in the mood for pumpkiney flavor and want to know if I should just make an acorn or delicate instead. If I know what type of squash it is I can better determine the flavor. Obviously it is a life changing decision, and if I bake it and it tastes like pumpkin I will die.0

I believe you are now at a crossroads.
I still think it could be an overgrown button.0 -
I think it most closely resembles a Sweet Meat Squash. Like the ones here. (I wanted to add the photo to the post but it's way too big.)
But I also looked at Blue Ballets, Jarrahdales and Ironbark pumpkins. And I've now spent entirely too long Googling squash. I never realized there were so dang many!

jgnatca- YOU ARE DEAD WRONG HAHA
It is a sweet meat! I remember it being labeled as such at the store! And apparently that type is common where I live (it was also labeled local, but I didn't read much into that).
Thanks to both of you! I'm going to preheat the oven now!
