Any vegans here?

Recently I did a 1 month vegan eating experiment where I was measuring my body fat, muscle mass, weight and waistline, at the end I've also had a full blood check and results were amazing. Eating vegan foods is really good for the body, preserving and building muscle mass, improves health overall, not to mention it's the most right and compassionate way of eating. Currently 95% of what I eat is vegan since I'm between moving houses and sometimes there's no time for cooking but after I'll move in I want to become a full vegan.
So I need vegan friends on MyFitnessPal

How do you know when someone is a Vegan?
Don't worry, they'll tell you.0 -
Well I'm vegan so add away. I don't know why people are so rude about it. Yes we tell people because you get animal products shoved in your face at almost every moment of the day....0

False... animal products are not shoved in your face, ever. What is figuratively shoved in your face is the fact that you do not eat animal products.krzysztof1986 wrote: »Recently I did a 1 month vegan eating experiment where I was measuring my body fat, muscle mass, weight and waistline, at the end I've also had a full blood check and results were amazing. I cannot tell you how compassionate I get about a medium rare ribeye, so THAT is a matter of opinion as well.

Hi, new transitioning vegan here0
-
I seems the reactions here are a bit unfair though. Just someone looking for people eating similar foods to him, which is why many people post on these forums, to get friends with the same goals! No reason for everyone to post nasty comments, not one point at all was it shoved in your face to be vegan0

I eat meat...I have teeth that were made to eat meat so who am I to go against the evolutionary process, or creationary, which ever side you fall on, and dispute nature or God. A vegan and a cross fitter, they will be the first to tell you exactly how fit or healthy they are.....if I ever eat Vegan it will because I ate a vegan....if I ever do cross fit it will because I'm tired of disciplinary motion in my lifts and gains....;)
ME MAN. ME MUST EAT MEAT. Okay.....go suck on a cows tit or something omni0 -
I have a beard, I'm not allowed to be vegan.

Dumbest thing I have ever seen, in what way in evolutionary point of view, your teeth are made to eat meat? Not to mention that carnivores and omnivores have way shorter intestines than humans, ours are made to use fiber, plenty of it, that's why meat eaters are getting colon cancer, our intestines are too long to process meats in a proper way.
And why comparing crossfitters to vegans? Crossfit is a way of performing exercises in a wrong way, but being vegan is about eating the RIGHT way.
Never knew that this kind of topic could actually bring so many haters here, maybe some kind of insecurities? Or maybe you feel guilty for eating like crap? Since we are all here to either lose weight or improve our physical performance, maybe we should be more supportive.

Care to elaborate @ChristyJade ?0 -
It's great how vegans always talk about loving the earth and wanting to preserve the lives of millions of animals but they treat every meat eating human like dog *kitten*.
and kryszstof1986 just prove's it " eating vegan is "the right way" the right way for you but who are you te decide thats the right way for anyone else.0 -

Vegans always bring up the "meat eaters die of cancer" thing fact of the matter is you see more meat eaters die of cancer because meat eaters are a bigger pool of people, the vegan community is significantly smaller so you see it less but vegans are still dying of cancer.0 -
I was vegan for about a decade, I'm ovo-lacto now (mostly because it's easier on my omni family). I also have a beard...so I'm not sure how that factors into the equation. But, feel free to add me.0
