Fitbit Surge linking???

So I've tried a couple times and not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but my Surge wont isn't showing steps on the myfitnesspal app? It shows on my Fitbit app, so I know its working. The apps thing shows fitbit, but nothing else and its checked.
