Hi Halli. I am having gastric sleeve surgery on the 17th of this month. My highest weight was 326, but today it was 300. I lost some doing low-carb and then a few on the pre-op diet. I'm 42 with 4 kids, 3 are adults and my youngest is 7. I also have 3 grand-daughters. I feel like I will finally have a life. I'm so excited. I know it isn't going to be an easy road, but it feels like it's the only road I have left to take. I hope you find a way to make it happen for you.0

I've been at least 275 at the highest I know of, currently 220, end goal of 150. Add me if you'd like.0

Also, I'm 5'4" and my BMI is currently 51.1, I think. I've been watching it like a hawk because if I can get it below 49 by surgery day, I save $500. Haha. I don't think it's going to happen though and that's really okay.0

Hi I have just started the process to get gastric sleeve. Seen the wls Dr yesterday. As of now it looks like I have to lose at least 50lbs for him to even do it. Seems like not a big deal but really I almost fell off the chair. Just working since sept I have only went from 351 to 343. I kinda got the feeling he didn't think I could do it. I am going to prove him wrong.

My daughter did RNY at around 340# and it changed her life. Don't let anyone make you feel like the surgery is "cheating" because it's tough. My kid found great support groups on Instagram - they swap recipes, progress reports, photos. Best of luck to you all and congratulations on your decision!0

Hello! I just had the surgery on November 9th. I spent most of my life with the thought that surgery was not an option, that it was giving up. About 1 year ago I realized it was not giving up it was the best option. It was a way to be successful long term. I was terrified and second guessing everything but now that I have done it I know it was the best and right choice! Feel free to friend me! If you need any support!,0
