DONE TRACKING

been tracking and weighing for over a year. I was always healthy and tracking does help, but also felt I was constantly thinking about food! I am now bulking and my diet is pretty routine. I have enough of an idea of how much I am ingesting and I am going to start using the scale/ mirror to adjust my diet weekly! No more tracking! Just eating sensibly and intuitively. Feels good(: nothing against tracking, but I'm 19 years old and tracking my calories is not something I want to worry about anymore. Just felt like expressing this joy hehe. Might go back to moderate tracking during a cut after my bulk/ maintenance, but for now I need a longggg break from it(:

Good for you! I stop tracking and logging last year for about 6 months because I also needed a break, and I was in maintenance; I did just fine. I am back now because I was in a "recomp" mode so I needed to keep better track of my macros. But I don't track much when I am on vacation, or eating out or at a friend's house or even during the weekends. Good luck!

Good for you. I'm a bit obsessed too. Not ready to give it up. Good luck on your bulk!

I just posted about this here: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10292975/is-calorie-counting-the-real-reason-for-maintaining-weight-loss#latest I am going to stop Tracking for the month of December and see how it goes. It will be good not having to worry about whether I remembered to Track everything or not.

Tracking calories gave me anxiety. I say If you're happy where you are, don't sweat the small stuff.

I'm taking a break from logging now that I've reached my goal. I was going too far down the rabbit hole with the recipe builder, almost every night. I'm definitely tallying calories loosely in my head but not inputting data on MFP, because I need a break. I'll do this for a couple weeks.

I mostly didn't log from spring of 2015 until a couple of weeks ago, because I wanted a break and wanted to see if I still ate the same way, which I mostly did. I started up again because I want to figure out my TDEE and then try to lose more, and also because I am going to have a lot of weekend/holiday stuff so want to keep a deficit during the week so I don't end up gaining over the holidays.

I have been at maintenance for 5 months I log it in just because I get bored at work and live the food prep lifestyle. Good luck with your bulk at 19 I doubt you will have an issue..

I've always had issues with my weight and tracking is the only thing that has ever worked for me.... I will happily track forever.
