My name is Dana. I have used Fitness Pal in the past and have lost weight using this as a tool. Various "things" happen along the way that seem to de-rail me from my plan. I have dieted and lost 20 pounds the past month or so staying away from the obvious evils. I try to plan meals PRIOR to eating as often mentioned on the boards in the past. My motivation sadly this time is the recent passing of my brother at age 47 about 3 months ago. He was overweight, smoked and did not eat right or exercise. I do not smoke. I previously did not eat right albeit I have dieted numerous times (9 stacks of WW starter kits from 1987 to 2007) so I have done a little better than he ever did in that area, I think. Never like exercise, ever. School teasing perhaps back in the 70's? Lack of motivation? Not sure but damned, need to get past it with all 257 pounds behind it! Anyway, if my bio is vieweable to all my story is there. Ideas are always welcome. I read others as well. I think we can always learn from each other hence why these message boards exist. I have tried Spark People (too complicated and off the goal with spin the wheel stuff). WW costs too much and others have too many ads flashing at you. That is it. Thanks for reading and listening. I totally understand what you mean. I have tried so many diets including WW and spark. But i really love the support and friendships I have made on MFP. I joined a while ago but just recently started to exercise and keep track of what I eat. Please send me a friend request if you like. We can do this together0 -
