I have a lot to lose and I've been fat a long long time. I just don't know if it's really with the effort. Anyone who has lost weight... Is it worth it?

absolutley! Granted I am down just 38 lbs and have about 50 to go but.... I feel amazing. I'm also a nurse so i could go on and on about the health benefits and the risks to your heart, kidneys, liver, diabetes, heart disease but I wont. If you are struggling I can help if you want it. Just friend me and send me a message. I have been there and "yes penny you are worth it"

Depends on your motivation, I suppose. My grandmother died from complications of Diabetes, my grandfather died very young of a heart attack. My mom has heart disease and is on dialysis for kidney failure, due to not taking of her health. More than one of my aunts has Diabetes, and my cousin, who is still in her 20s, is pre-diabetic. These are all Type 2, and could have been prevented.

So, for me, not ending up like that makes the effort worth it.

It does work and thus far I'm reaping the rewards of lower weight. Sometimes I miss my protective layer of blubber on cold mornings, but the Japanese have a saying: Better to warm the heart and not the house. Their way of saying put some clothes on dummy. So I layer a lot these days. In much smaller clothing.

Yes very much so! I was in your shoes.... Then something snapped and I lost 138pds all at home and all on my own in a about 1.5 years! Best thing I ever did! I will say its mostly mental if you aint ready to commit to losing the weight.. you wont.. no matter how many diets you go on! You have to be ready to make that lifestyle change and honestly its not that hard... I lost my weight on a low fat diet.. Feel free to message me if you like! Good luck!

I've lost 58kg (128lbs). It has taken me 30 months to do that and I still have 44lbs to. I can tell you it is worth every single drop of sweat and every single "no" I had to say when I wanted to eat something I was not allowed.

The benefits that I am seeing in my life is indescrbable. I was so obese for so long that I ahve forgotten what it feels like to be "normal"

Last week I had to fly. I dread flying because I could never get the seatbelt buckles, the tray table would never extend all the way down (my tummy was in the way) and whenever someone had to sit next to me you could see that the moment they saw me they started scouting for another seat.

Last week none of this happened. I was so happy I took pics and sent it to everyone. The amount of self worth that you get from losing the weight astounding. I even like summer now.

Go for it, take is slow, be strict with yourself, allow yourself to slip sometimes but get up again and go at it harder. This is not a quick journey.

Best of luck and I hope you can find the worth in doing it.
