As you lose do you recalculate??

I have a question that has probably been answered before so I apologize if this is redundant. I started off at 186 and am now down to 173 with a goal weight of 160. Do I need to recalculate my calories per day in order to keep up my momentum or do I just keep it as is when I started at 186? What have you done in this scenario? Thanks in advance for your response.

If you are using the default settings on MFP, it recalculates for you automatically.

It depends. If you are already at the minimum amount of calories (1500 for you) then it will not adjust. If you are eating more than that and it hasn't adjusted automatically, you will need to do that.0

I find that it only re-adjusts when I edit my goals or weight settings, not when I enter a low weight. It isn't a problem for me as I keep it on mini goals, but if you have it set for you ultimate goal then go into diet/fitness settings, and it will recalculate.0 -

You're not supposed to "keep up your momentum" -- as you get closer to goal weight, the idea is to slow your weight loss, so that most of the loss is coming from your ever-diminishing fat stores, not from your lean body mass.0
