A waste0

They're a waste.
It's one thing to wear something like that as part of a costume or something similar, but I'm pretty sure consistent use can lead to the core muscles being weaker, which in turn leads to bad posture, among other things.

If you are referring to what you see on the TV ads it's a waste and potentially dangerous.0

Because waists trainers are just daft0 -
Hi. I am using one so far I like it.
It hard at the beginning but now I am use to it and i can see a big change on my belly.
It make you look sexy when you wear something .-3 -
I bought one and am wearing it now. It's the right size and not terribly uncomfortable - just like wearing a lap band as I can't eat as much.. It is great for my lumbar spine issues as I have to bend my knees instead of bending over (washing machine, dishwasher, vacuum). It's like a brace for my sore back and has taken the pressure off so much. Obviously I don't expect weight loss from a wide belt, but it does smooth my bumps and lumps, so I'm happy.-2

I wear corsets because i like how they look. But i have never in my life experienced weight loss because i wore one. The only thing that helped me lose weight (once i got medical issues cleared up) was watching calorie intake vs expenditure.0

Its not going to change your body shape when you are not wearing it. If you want a foundation garment then there are much better options than the rubber things that are trending right now. A perfect fitting steel boned corset is beautiful for instance.0

Wow. Thats extreame. My smallest is only 18 inches0

Any perceived change to your shape after wearing a waist trainer is temporary. Basically its a whole load of balooy. I have a corset that I love wearing occasionally, because it gives me an awesome shape, but I don't wear it as an every day thing, just once in a while. It's a fashion thing rather than anything else. If I want to smooth out my bumps without being obvious, then I'll dig out the spandex instead0

And again with the confusion between elastic Karsashian waist trainers and full steel boned waist reducing corsets.
But anyway, the current modern fast of elastic - pointless.
I really need to do a copy and paste on corsets vs cinchers vs trainers................0 -
i doooo love my corsets.
but theyre more for .... recreational activities0 -

Personally I would enjoy the read. They all scare me. I think they all weaken muscle and displace organs, so a little education would do me good.
Truly appreciate your use of them @callsitlikeiseeit.
Cheers, h.0 -

Maybe I will at some point, misinformation on this topic is as frustrating to me as all the diet woo that goes around.0 -
I loooveeee my waist trainer. Bought it off amazon. Whenever I feel bloated I wear it for an hour and drink a lot of water and it help. I have a 27 inch waist and standing at 5'10 so I'm not using it to adjust my figure.0

It helps with what? It's not fat you are burning.0 -

Looking bloated. Of course a waist trainer has no ability to burn fat0 -
Honest to goodness. A bit of elastic is training nothing. NOTHING. It's a bit of shapewear cleverly marketed to the gullible. Spanx are doing the same thing. Drinking water while wearing it is not reducing your bloating, your body is naturally dealing with the bloat whilst you make yourself feel better by sucking it in with some elastic.
Don't get me wrong, I love shapewear, LOVE it but it's not doing anything miraculous or permanent.
Definitely going to do an idiots guide soon.0 -
I don't give any credence to those silly elastic waist trainers promoted on IG by celebrities. If you need some shaping up under your clothes, go with Spanx. Cheaper and less obtrusive looking.0
