Cabbage cauliflower brocooli...cause goitrogens

I m going to drink my post workout a plant protein which includes cabbage cauliflower and broccoli..and i have read that it affect the thyroid and goitrogens....as whey protein dosent suit me at all...reply

    This, although the likelihood that cabbage, cauliflower, and broccoli are bad for you is pretty negligible unless there's something you aren't telling us. I eat them all the time.

    Meh, the issues is mostly if they're raw. I have no idea about them in a protein powder.

    I've got a bum thyroid and eat all the cruciferous veggies. I just don't eat them raw that often.

    Do you have a diagnosed thyroid issue? If so, I would avoid consuming very much of those cruciferous veggies raw. Cooked is fine. If you don't have a diagnosed problem then . . . it's not something I'd spend a second worrying about.

    Which one u suggest post workout..because after consuming isopure or on protein i get headaches.

    Yes, for low thyroid function patients it is teccomened that you not eat these veggies raw. Cooked is fine. So, if you suffer from hypothyroid, I would call the company and find out what process these ingredients go through before being powdered down into you shake. Are they heated(cooked) to any degree of just dehydrated? Probably your best bet if you are concerned.

    Try pea protein.
    Raw cabbage family veggies aren't good for low thyroid conditions, but if you cook them it's okay.

    Lol...i have already purchased....and once u finish ur workout u do not get any of such pains if u take raw meal...its very nice...but the only problem is these veggies.. i think i hardly must be getting 10 or 15 calories from these...

    I will definitely try pea protein...i hope it works well for me...
