Not allowed to exercise- anyone else?

My doctor won't allow me to exercise to to my disabilities so my weight loss has to be solely on diet! This sux!

On a lighter note it gives me a chance to think up all the thinks I will do when I get this 100 pounds off. I will get back dancing .

Okay yall I need some positive ideas. Shoot

Are you able to walk? Are you able to do anything seated?

I have had times when I couldn't do much so I had to be extra careful about what I ate which meant no wasted calories (dessert, salad dressing, gravy, sauces, etc.).

If you are serious about weight loss this can be an exciting challenge.

Take it one day at a time :)

Great news: weight loss is totally possible without exercise!! I started out losing without exercising because I didn't enjoy it. I lost a good chunk of weight before starting to try to exercise.

Not to get too personal/nosey, what kind of disabilities do you have that would have your doctor recommend not working out? That may allow others to give you ideas that work around those while still allowing you to do other types of workouts. For example, if you've injured your foot/can't do weight bearing stuff, upper body exercises would be possible (seated curls, seated overhead presses, bench press, arm bike, etc.).

Sometimes it is better to lose some weight before taking on exercise. I know personally it can be hard on the joints until some weight comes off. It is easy to injure yourself making it even longer before you can exercise.
