so for as long as i can remember i have always feared monday weigh ins because i ALWAYS go a little crazy on the weekend. whenever i have lost weight in the past I have been PERFECT during the week but the weekends i almost always gained at least a pound. super duper sucky.
so...this time around i have changed everything. i have changed the way i look at food, i have changed the way i look at weight loss (1 - 2 lbs a week is 100% okay this time), i have changed the way i feel about exercise, etc. well this weekend i went out with my husband and we got burgers and fries and ice cream. :-) so how is this a nsv? because for the first time i can remember i ate only half my burger and only a handful of fries and only a spoonful or two of ice cream. the best part? i was satisfied! i didn't feel the need to eat it all! we took our kids with us and i ordered a kid burger with kid fries and a kids scoop of ice cream. and what i did was split my meal with my 1yr old son and so i couldn't eat it all if i wanted. i knew i had to save some for him. and it was so easy for me. and then this morning i didn't have a loss but i didn't have a gain either. i always gain and i'm finally at the point where i understand that it's all about moderation. and if you order small or serve yourself a small plate, you'll most likely be satisfied with that. if you're not, then get a little bit more. but if you start big you'll most likely try eating it all. so start small!
so that's my monday nsv. :-) thanks for stopping by and reading!

Great job! Listening to your stomach tell you when enough is enough and not your eyes and brain is hard 0 0

SO VERY SMART!! I have such good intentions, but I just truly enjoy eating and don't seem to have any self control. so, I eat whatever is on the plate and go back for more. so, congrats to you. can't wait until I can say the same thing.0

I'm so happy for you! I too am at that point. Just today I had a slice of pizza hut...and only one slice. I had no desire to have another because I was satisfied. Cheers to you!0
