I do workout at the gym, doing zumba and strength training. But when I'm at home I want to start doing something for my abs, I hear so much back and forth about crunches that they just strain your neck, and some say they work great, any suggestions??

crunches are great, I have been doing lunges with a 3lb weight
in each hand and reverse sit ups, I have seen a major difference
in my stomach in just 2 weeks. (google reverse sit-ups)0 -
I haven't done any workouts that target my belly, it's getting flat on it's own. I read that targeted exercising doesn't necessarily work in the context we think. I read that diet has more to do with it than exercise. You'll start to produce stomach muscles, but it'll be hidden under the fat.0

running will whittle away that waistline!!!0

If belly is fat or flabby no ab workout is going to change that, two things that will, Cardio and Proper Diet0

Oh yes, I do know that you can not target certain areas, that is why I mentioned that I do cardio and strength training. I just wanted some workouts that I could do at home that would help.0 -
Like jtuner said, clean diet and cardio, and throw in some strength training. And be patient about it
I have noticed the top of my abs are much stronger since I started using the seated ab crunch machine, as heavy as I can, and hanging knee raises have helped define the lower v-part. Try some intervals with the cardio, or google HIIT.
Oops, just noticed you wrote 'at home.' try planks, and crunches with your legs raised0 -
PILATES!!!!!!!!
