Polar Loop Questions?

I am looking into getting the polar loop instead of another Polar FT4 which i've used for roughly 5 years now.
I think this is a good fit for me because it's an all-day activity track but also pairs with the Heart Rate Monitor H-7. That way I can get a more accurate calorie burn- especially when i'm hitting the gym.
Here's my question-
Usually I put on my heart rate strap before i start my workout, start lifting, and then I only turn on my polar watch for my short cardio session afterwards since the HRM is only accurate during Steady-State Cardio. How will this work with the loop 2? Won't i be getting an innacurate calorie reading while i'm doing my weight lifting session? Would i have to stop my weight lifting session, go put on the HRM, and then do my cardio?
Would it just be more accurate to not wear a HRM with it at all?
I usually do my lifting followed directly by cardio and if i have to add an extra step it would be a pain in the butt.
Also, if anyone has any reviews or other suggestions it's much appreciated. Thanks!!
edit: actually, what about the A300? >_<

I have the loop and sadly once you put the heart rate monitor on and the band syncs them it starts recording so you'd probably have to wait until you are between lifting and cardio.0

You could wear just the strap during your lifting session and when your ready to start the cardio portion just snap the transmitter in place and the the Loop will pick it up and start recording heart rate info. Then when your done be sure to unsnap the transmitter to let the Loop know to stop recording.0
