What would it be? No lists, keeping it nice and simple. Just one tip, new to this (just logged my 30th day in a row and looking for more inspiration) interested to see what people put as their top tip.

Intermittent fasting, specifically Leangains. It changed my life.

Don't beat yourself up if you have a "slip" up. Just wake up the next morning and get back on the horse.

Don't hate the process, otherwise you won't stick to it. Find a way to look at your goals as something that gets you pumped, not fills you with dread.

Food is a neutral substance with no inherent moral or emotional qualities. Stop losing your mind over it. If you can't think about it without becoming irrational, it's time for therapy.

Take pics a lot bc when you look back and feel no motivation or want to quit or feel no progress you will see it. I did after workout pics and I can see my progress!

First: Congratulations on 30 days logged and starting such a successful thread!

I think you've already found the one most important tip and that's logging your calories. It creates mindfulness and puts us in control of our food. Now that you're in the zone, I would ignore all other tips because they can quickly become complicated and contradictory, creating stress and anxiety. Things like what time of day to eat and proportions of carb to protein don't matter as much as total calories, and you will soon learn what satisfies you most and what time of day you prefer to eat most of your calories. Everyone is different.

As Confucious say: To effect change; start and then continue.
    You're doing it!

Wow, just logged on and saw all your great responses. Many thanks one and all. To be honest I was sceptical about an app, but now I've been logging all I eat for a month I can see where I was going wrong before. Plus the community and support is fantastic.....proven by all the responses. I really am enjoying the journey. Thanks MFP et all
