Red Rudolph Cocktail:
1/2 ounce orange curacao
3/4 ounce cinnamon schnapps
1/2 ounce vodka
6 ounces cranberry juice
Heat cranberry juice. Pour everything else in container, then add cranberry juice, pour in mugs,
top with whip cream and sugar sprinkles on rim.

I'm a beer drinker so all this is a little lost on me. I have gotten into the spirit drinking Bell's Christmas Ales. lol. I also like He'Brew's Jewbelation. I really want to like Troeg's Mad Elf, but since it's brewed in the state I live in, but I'm just not a fan.0

I apologize this is not a recipe but its greatness needed to be told. This Evan Williams eggnog is awesome. I have only tried the regular but it appears that there is now a peppermint chocolate. Mercy... If I can find it, it will be mine.

Ditto! I am a fan of Troegs in general, but I find Mad Elf disappointing. (If you've never been to their location, though, I suggest a visit the next time you're in/near Hershey - awesome scratch beers and wonderful food!) I prefer Fegley's Rude Elf's Reserve to Mad Elf.0 -

Hot buttered rum is also a good choice. I've never made one myself but I think it's pretty basic. Or, if you really want to put on a show, make an Irish Coffee and light it to burn off the alcohol... had one of those in a fancy restaurant once!0

Calorie saving is a must for Troeg's! When we go, that's pretty much my food intake for the day with a small snack or two. I have honestly not had a meal from there that I didn't like, and they change up their menu frequently enough that they always seem to have something new and interesting, though that does mean that favorites are frequently nixed, as well. Their hop fries with their spicy ketchup are amazing, and I absolutely, 100% HATE ketchup. (It took my boyfriend several visits to convince me to give it a try, I'm glad he did!) Unfortunately, however, it seems as though people are catching on to the amazingness of the place - it is packed ALL the time, now, but it's still worth the wait and/or fight for a table. I'm there about once per month. Luckily, for me, I live about an hour away, otherwise I'd probably be there at least once per week!0 -
I tried this drink recently for a party and it went over very well; found the directions on the web:
Pomegranate Margarita
2 cups tequila
1 cup triple sec
2 cups pomegranate juice (I juice my own but you could buy the POM juice that is refrigerated)
1-12 ounce lime aid concentrate
2 cups water
Lime wedges
Mix all liquids in pitcher and serve over ice. Garnish with lime wedge. I didn't rim my glasses with salt but I suppose you could if you wanted to.
Very festive looking drink PLUS de-lish.

Paula Deen's Eggnog recipe. Only eggnog I'll drink, we make multiple gallons for our Christmas Eve party and it all disappears with people literally using their fingers to scrape it all out of their glass.
6 eggs, separated*
3/4 cup sugar
1 pint heavy cream
4 pints milk
1/2 pint Bourbon
1 tablespoon vanilla
Nutmeg
In a bowl beat the egg yolks with the 1/2 cup of sugar until thick. In another bowl beat the egg whites with 1/4 cup of sugar until thick. In a third bowl beat the cream until thick. Add the cream to the yolks, fold in the egg whites, and add the milk, Bourbon, vanilla, and a pinch of nutmeg, if desired. Chill in freezer before serving [Beware - don't put it in too long or it gets too thick and chunky and you'll have to whiz it in a blender to be able to drink it].
Serve eggnog in a large punch bowl.
