When i cook food do i count the oils that i use to cook them in? For example i use 1 tablespoon of coconut oil when i cook my chicken? Do i add that into my calorie counter?

    Since there are calories in the oil, yes. If your deficit is small, omitting something like that from your diary could be enough to make you maintain rather than lose. Accuracy is key.

    You can measure your oil before and after to see how much is actually absorbed into the food, but I just use a small amount in a green/nonstick pan (1t or so) and count it all.

    of course you would...and i'd also suggest that if you have a lot of oil left in your pan then you could cut back on how much oil you're using...that is, if you're using non-stick.

    If i use say, 1tbsp of oil, I just log the whole amount, it's better to over estimate if you're working on a deficit
