Newbie from NC

Hi! I've new to this app and loving it! I'm currently 155 trying to get down to 130. I gained most of this weight after getting a desk job (and snacking from boredom) so I definitely want to change my diet and find more motivation to excersise. Thus far, keeping track of everything I eat has been an eye opener for me, as it has shown me just how quickly the calories add up! I am really looking forward to living a healthier lifestyle!

I'm 145 right now and aiming to get to 130 as well. Let's add each other and try to motivate each other
  • I am 175 and trying to get to 140. Gained most of my weight from haVing my kids. Recently started Medi Weightloss here in Charlotte. It was hard the first week. But it is definitely helping me get healthy and make better choices. My husband is also doing this. Hope we can all motivate each other.

Hi - in a similar place @ 143lbs trying to get down to 120lbs.
Had success with MFP previously losing 25lbs (135 down to 110 which was too low) before piling a load back on again starting work and then even more since being in a long term relationship. Now at my heaviest and none of the clothes in the wardrobe fit so something must be done!!!

Spent a lot of money on personal training at the beginning of the year which did some good bit couldn't afford to keep it up so slipped back into old habits. Tried Protien World and The Body Coach but generally rubbish at sticking to plans! Now back on here armed with a culmination of all the plans/stuff I've learnt hoping this will work out for me as it has before!

Could do with some friends to keep me motivated along the way! :)

Desks are dangerous, I have had to force myself to get up and move and 30 min exercise per day, trying to get up to 10,000 steps

Desks are definitely dangerous! As they say, sitting is the new smoking and I couldn't agree more. Great job on working towards the 10,000 steps per day!

Thanks everyone for the welcome! :)
