Serious Cravings

Ok I have tried just about everything but about 3pm everyday I get huge hunger cravings! Not hungry just cravings! By this time of the day my cal count is at about 700 to 900.
The cravings are causing literal jaw pains and heavy salivating.
I try sipping on green tea but almost seems to make it worse. I really do not want to add any more cal to the mix. I will munch on sunflower seeds, in hull and as long as I have some in my mouth it is good but the min I spit the last seed the craving returns.
Anyone else battle this....?

I did when I was first starting out. Breaking up my protein so that I had a reasonable chunk with every meal sorted it for me.0

Yea I have been dieting for about 1 year and this is a pretty new thing that seems to be happening. I may have to make sure I am doing that with my protein, sometimes my lunch is a little low on protein.0

Have you taken any diet breaks during that year?
I have found that a 1 week diet break, by which I mean continuing to log but eating at maintenance calories, helps to get rid of that "I am so hungry I could chew my arm off" feeling. I generally start on a Saturday and go through the next Sunday, so they are actually 9 days long rather than just 7. By Friday or so, I am generally gung ho read to to get back to cutting calories again. There are actually a few different ways to do diet breaks but that is how I do mine. Here are two articles about diet breaks that might interest you:

How many calories total do you give yourself in a day? I chew gum when I want to munch on things but am not very hungry. Chips and mint are a terrible combo!0
