Go over. It will not matter as long as you eat at your calorie goal.0

Eat low carb, moderate protein, and high healthy fat.1

If it's a "good" kind of fat, like from olive or coconut oil or even animal skin, then don't worry too much about it. My trainer freaks when I tell him I eat the skin off baked chicken. It's too much fat he says. Well, sure it will add a few calories BUT the fat from the chicken skin is unsaturated heart healthy fat (not if you fry it though).0

Even the "bad" kind of fat isn't going to hinder your weight loss. As long as you're in a calorie deficit, you're going to lose weight.0 -
The most important thing for weight loss is calories. Carb/Protein/Fat ratios are more for specific goals than anything, but no matter what their numbers, if calories are lower than you burn in a day, you will lose weight over time.0

True, the most important part of your eating plan is to take in less calories than you burn but where those calories come from (protein, fat, carbs) do matter over time. From what I understand, if you have a lot to loose, it will likely matter much less than if you are trying to loose those last few pounds. Eating more fat for your calories can slow the fat burning process due to the fact that you'll already have fat in your blood stream for your body to break down for energy instead of delving into your fat stores. This could be good on one hand because it means your body has a continuous supply of fat to break down and trains your body to use fat as a good energy source instead of breaking down muscle fibers for the protein. So, the answer really is, no it's not going to hurt you in general. Everyone is different and should tailor your eating to the results you're trying to achieve. If weight loss as a whole is your goal, don't worry about it and start paying more attention to your macros when you get close to goal.0

@Victorious8088 welcome to MFP Forums.
The way I personally answer that question is just weigh myself daily to learn the results of my Way Of Eating to keep things simple. In my view macros are guidelines and my scales shows the results of my WOE.
Best of success with the learning curve. MFP is a great resource for learning. We are all different and have to tweak our WOE so that it works for each of us.0 -
Check out the fat column in my diary
It hasn't affected my weight loss at all. Although to compensate for the higher fat, I keep my carbs on the lowish side. 0 -
I prefer a higher fat content because it keeps me better satiated. But so long as calories are on and you are getting a goodly amount of protein for muscles, you are probably just fine.0

This is not true. Your body constantly stores and burns fat, it does not hang around in your blood waiting for something to happen, and then decide to store itself.0
