Healthy snacks

So I am on 1200 calories a day, I have a problem getting there though. I am looking for healthy snacks... I do chips and salsa when my sodium levels allow me to. Also, I have been eating sugar free jello as well. I need more ideas since I am running out quickly. My husband and I at 8:30 last night were rumaging through our pantry and fridge trying to find a way for me to reach 1200 calories and not go over my sodium, sugar ect levels. Anything would be helpful, it can be prepackaged from the store or something I need to think ahead with! Thanks!!!

nuts are always a good choice, either in whole or butter form. Yogurt, either greek or regular...0

I have the same problem so I keep quite a few snacks around the house. I always have light fat free yoplait yogurt on hand. It's 100 calories and low in sodium. I also like the 90 calorie quaker chewy granola bars at night. I also keep microwave popcorn on hand, the kind without added salt and butter. It makes a great quick snack and it doesn't have the added sodium.0

I love the 100 calorie packs of cookies and crackers (or even popcorn) that they sell pre-packaged at the grocery store. They're just enough to keep me going throughout the day, and help me get a little bit of chocolate in, so I don't go crazy.0

I eat fresh veggies (pre-cut the night before), such as peppers, carrots, etc
Also eddame is good, high in protein. costco sales a large package, just microwave and good to go.
Some would suggest fruits, but they are high in sugar. So i would suggest have one a day.
Sometimes i eat special K ceral as snacks. (dry)0 -
Stick to protein snacks instead of carb snacks.....Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, string cheese, almonds, protein bars w/17grams or more of protein. Veggies are also a great choice for fiber!
Carb are more like empty calories, esp simple carbs like crackers.
Best of Luck!0 -
