Neck friendly ab work?

Ab Crunches have always bothered my neck, but now that I've had a muscle spasm in my neck for several weeks, I can't do crunches or anything else that requires me to be on my back & lift my head without significant pain. I also have arthritis in my neck. My trainer gave me a couple of alternatives for abs--reverse crunches & rollouts.
Any other suggestions for ab exercises that don't strain the neck? Thx.

Ab wheel and hanging leg raise. I get a lot of my ab volume from other lifts, like overhead press, due to the core stabilization required by the lift.0

Thx. I will google these because I'm not familiar with them.0

Ignore how cheesy they are.

I took up bellydance because of this. It helps a lot! You have to do it very technically, where you move things with your ab muscles. I don't do the arms because I can't with my neck problem.
Also, sometimes a neck brace helps me do ab exercises I couldn't do. I can plank, etc, wearing a brace to help hold my neck in the right position. I've had chronic neck problems for years now, so I have to work around it constantly. Good luck!0 -
Kneeling Cable Rope Crunch is probably one of the very best exercises you should include in your ab routine. Lower back and neck friendly as well0

Reverse crunches perhaps.0
