I count a day as from when I wake up until I go to sleep.

I count my days from wakeup until wakeup the next morning. I often wake up at 3AM and have to eat to treat a low blood sugar, but that ends up getting logged in the previous day's food diary.

The big thing is to make sure it is logged somewhere. Where doesn't matter.

I count my days from wake to sleep regardless of the time of day. I used to occasionally eat something past midnight and log it on the next day, but it just lead to me *always* doing that, so I accepted I just like to late night snack, and a 'one waking period' rule made more sense.

Depends on if I hit my calorie goal yet or not. If I'm under, then I put it on the same day. Otherwise, I switch over at midnight and fewer calories available when I wake up.

I log waking up to going to sleep.

It doesn't really matter how you do it, as long as you are consistently creating an energy deficit over a sustained period of time.

Thank you for your input. I have been doing it in next day but it messes with my calories for the next day and i end up with super low calorie defficet the previous day. Because sometimes dinner is after midnight.

I would log it as the new day. I go strictly by the clock. 12 a.m. = new day for me. I'm not up that late very often though (9:30 bedtime for me.)
