I started 3 days ago. I love this app
Never realized how many calories are in some foods.my goal is to lose 15 pounds in 3 months. Seems I have already lost 2 pounds in those 3 days. I have been following the calorie counter, marking down everything I eat and my exercises. Is it normal to lose weight more quickly at first. I am not trying to lose fast, my goal was set to a pound a week. Also I feel very hungry when I wake up. Is this normal when first starting out. Thanks

    @chuckyjean welcome to MFP forums.

    It sounds like you are off to a good start. Most of us lose weight faster at first. I too am hungry in the mornings so breakfast is larger meal in my case. Knowing how many calories we are eating can be an eye opener and the 'awareness' we need to lose pounds.

    Best of continued success.

    That is for sure, you really become aware of how many calories are in foods and how much you over eat in calories.

    Try a low-carb (stevia-sweetened) protein drink first thing in the morning. It's good for you, and settles down that appetite.
