2015 Best Running App - Endomondo or Map My Run?

Since the UA acquisition of these companies, what does everyone think is the better of the two 2015 running apps for iPhone 6 in the USA: Endomomdo or MMR?

I've tried both. MMR appears to have more bells and whistles, but if you get down to the grit, Endomondo is much easier to view and activate while on the move. After all, how many functions do we really need for a daily run by the average Joe?

Thoughts?

I tried both on Android and settled on Endomondo only because it was more customizable with my watch. Other than that, I don't see much difference.

Having said that, I finally had enough of trying to keep everything working together and ordered an actual running watch (Garmin Forerunner). I already imported all my data from Endomondo and I will not be renewing my subscription.

do you have to pay for Strava to use it after the 30-day trial?

Strava all the way. Only have top pay if you go with premium version. Regular one is free which is why I use.

Endomondo or MapMyAnything... my choice is neither. From the testing I've done both grossly overestimate calorie burn, as will some of the others to a lesser extent.

From the playing I've done with multiple apps, I'll second (or fourth or whatever we are on here) Strava for being much closer in calorie burn, but it's limited to running and biking. RunKeeper also seems to calculate calorie burn fairly well, but I've only done limited testing.

Depends what you want - I love MMR for sitting at work planning new routes, but I don't use it to record my runs (I rely on Garmin). MMR is definitely the best for route planning, imo

Strava for runs and cycling, Runkeeper for walking.

Just tried Strava on my run this morning. All systems go with great sound prompts etc. Then it went downhill from there. Once completed, it changed and uploaded my training date to yesterday at an obscure evening time. I have been fiddling for a while now and there doesn't appear to be away to modify the date and time in an entry. Not sure why this happened in the first place.

    What gives? Frustrated.

okay - I ran MMR alongside Strava this morning. Strava has much clearer and louder prompts. The date and time registered correctly this morning. Now that I'm thinking of it, I have had reception issues with Endomondo down in the subtropics, so maybe that has something to do with it, but I think Strava has a software glitch as others have expressed having the same issue with the improper date and time online which is not editable to fix.

    Continue to rage, everyone!

@anglergirl3 I've never noticed that happen with Strava myself, though I only started using it this past summer. I have had reception issues with Endomondo at times, and even when I don't it seems the tracking of the GPS puts me off course more than some other apps.

So far I think RunKeeper does a fairly decent job as well. For my biking, it's real close to Strava in calorie burns. I've quit using pace prompts so I have no input on that aspect.

I like Strava because it syncs from my Fitbit app tracked exercise, and they both give me all the stats I need for my runs.

However I haven't tried Garmin, Endomondo or MMR.
