weight loss and heartburn

so... when i was 30lbs heavier i didn't have a problem with heartburn... now i have heartburn almost every night! it seems to always come after drinking water. anyone else experience this? why is it happening and what can i do to stop it? (TUMS make me sick to my stomach)

    I've had heartburn issues for years, about the time I got into the mid 200's. I would have to chew Tums 3-4 times a day. My doctor suggested some of the over the counter acid preventers, so I tried it, and it's like magic. I take one Omeprazole (generic for Prilosec, I think) every other morning and I never ever have to chew tums anymore.
