INSANITY and Workout bootcamp - am I crazy?

Hello,
I'm still fairly new to MFP and also just starting to get back in shape. I currently do a workout bootcamp 3 days a week and other workouts the other days. I recently heard about INSANITY and got the DVDs. I want to get started but it looks extremely intense and I'm worried that I need to be in better shape first because I don't want to set myself up for failure. I'm also worried about doing INSANITY and the bootcamp on the same days. Wondering if that would be overkill since the bootcamp is pretty intense already and I'm not in great shape yet. I was thinking of not renewing the bootcamp after the second week of July and starting INSANITY after that. Just looking for some advice and guidance and maybe some reassurance that I could do it. Maybe I'm just scared.

I'm in my last week of Insanity and it is intense! I did P90X three times in a row before I attempted Insanity.0

Hi, I never did those DVD workouts, I just walk and use resistance bands. I am replying to your post because you said you felt you were not ready. I would say do something low impact but push yourself until you think you are ready. However, don't let me, or anyone else tell you can't do anything. Part of life is getting knocked down, but it's your resolve and determination to get back up and to move forward is what defines you as a champion.0

i don't recommend doubling insanity with anything if you're not in great shape! it's pretty rough...i'm not a super fit person...the only reason i make it through insanity without retreating to fetal position is because i do krav maga and we already do many of those exercises so it wasn't quite the shock for my body.0

Thanks for the advice everyone. I think I might finish up bootcamp first and then start INSANITY. That way I will be in much better shape to "DIG DEEPER", as their tagline says.0

Me and my sis did Insanity and just got back into the fitness game when we started the program. Insanity is very tough but you can pace yourself and work to your max effort. We r now fitter than ever. Insanity is great.0
