Hi my name is erica. I have epilepsy and had to increase my meds. It'd been 6 months and I am still tired all the time and I know it's because of the meds. I have no ambition and just want to nap when I get home. I am so unhappy with how I look and feel yet I get so frustrated that im just like screw it. I'll just be fat. Does anyone else feel the same way.

Have you looked into the Modified Atkins or ketogenic diet - see

and

I was diagnosed with refractory epilepsy just a year and a bit ago which I am still struggling with using a combination of different meds - and am gradually trying to taper off those meds - but I think this diet has certainly helped me both feel better, reduce my seizures (I believe), and helped me keep my weight maintained, despite the fact that the meds mean that I am also too tired to exercise and do 5k jogs like I used to, etc. I have been getting help from Johns Hopkins, btw.
The diet isn't easy to start out with - and you should consult your doctor before doing it, I suppose - but you eventually get used to it. I actually enjoy it, simply because I know it is helping.
Best of luck0
