light headed-ness

I was working out today and I started to feel light headed & like I was going to pass out. Does this happen to anyone else? What's causing this? How do I make it stop???

If I ever feel like this it's usually like half an hour or so into some vigorous cardio exercises. So I am very confused.

Oh, and I was barely like 10 minutes into my workout when I started feeling this way. I had just got done with 5 minutes of cardio and was doing some strength exercises.

Help, please!

Could it be that you have anemia? I blacked out once in 7th grade after a PE class; I was anemic back then, due to iron deficiency.

    Anemia could be a cause

Are you staying hydrated before and during your workout?

What and how much are you eating pre-workout?

    When do you workout?

Anemia does run in my family. Is that something I must be tested for? All I know I have is asthma.

I do make sure to stay hydrated. Today I drank 8 cups of water (usually I drink more) but I must admit I don't really drink water while working out. I feel like I dont need it. I know that's bad.

Pre-workout I had dinner (about and hour & half before I worked out) and I had my lunch but no breakfast. I usually eat breakfast though.

I workout at different times of the day. Sometimes in the morning, others in the afternoon and today I worked out in the late evening (around 8:30/9pm).

Since you regularly feel light headed, even if it's after 30 minutes of working out, I'd say go see a doctor about it (and get tested).
