I need help keeping active, I've lost 65 pounds so far and now have a broken foot. I would like suggestions and ideas on how to keep my fitness up and calories down while I heal these next 2 months. I've finished one month but I have the Holidays approaching and no way to really get much cardio.
Help???

I had total knee replacement so in a way I know how you feel. You can do some light weights with no rest..it does burn calories. Good Luck..Stay Strong0

Maybe try running a Netflix marathon? That's what I would do.0

There are actually lots of youtube workout videos specifically for that purpose.
A quick search showed up for example
"Footless workout":https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOQhbcusYZY
"Cardio workout on a chair":https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOYaGBDO9vo
"40-Minute Seated Chair Cardio and Strength Workout "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xC9khisFPA
"Broken ankle exercise video"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghKN5IPwAPk
.... and many more, you get the idea
I didn't do any of them, possible that not all of them are good, but you should be able to find lots of inspiration.0 -
What kind of cast/brace are you wearing? Are you able to take it off and get into the water, or even wear it in the water? If this is possible, look into a deep water aerobics class. They are no impact and really good workouts. I was able to take one when I was in the boot, I just had to wrap my foot while I was in the water.0

Volunteer at races. It will keep you on your feet and in the fresh air as well as provide some motivation to get back out there as soon as you can!0

If you didn't break the skin try swimming, or water aerobics, I had a broken ankle, did swimming finished my scuba certification, and a dive trip before being able to walk without the boot.0

Ive had stints of years where I was unable to walk. You just do whatever you can physically. I wouldn't stress on cardio per sae, its not needed to lose weight. Just adjust your calorie intake with what you are able to do physically.0

Keeping your calories down is as simple as adjusting your intake to make up for no added exercise.
I'm a little confused. So you're only down for another month? If that's the case, I'd just focus on healing and get back to your regularly scheduled exercise after that.0
