What are some healthy snack ideas? I usually snack on chips candy bars and I know this is only going to hurt me, I was thinking almonds? What else?

You can eat anything you like as long as it fits into your calorie goals ! But if your looking for filling lower calorie snacks , here's a few-
    Clementines
    Yogurts
    Carrot sticks
    Protein bars

Basically you can pick whatever snacks you like to eat as long as they fit into your day. For example I fit a serving of ice cream in every day . this takes some pre planning but you can make it work as long as you plan your day accordingly.

As the post above, you can eat anything and make it fit but healthier snacks with lots of nutrients could include a small portion of nuts ( I love almonds, walnuts and brazil nuts), sunflower or pumpkin seeds, a little dried fruit (e.g. apricots, prunes, figs) or just some fresh fruit - bananas are handy as in their own wrapping!

I still eat junk stuff on a pretty consistent basis like all these week I have had some sort of candy. If I want a healthy snack that will keep me full it is usually an apple or a banana. I personally don't eat nuts never been a big fan of any of them and the serving sizes are depressing. Grapes are another good snack to have around.

I like dried mango slices, partly because they require a lot of chewing. I find when I want a snack 2 or 3 is enough because of the difficulty factor. I also pre-weigh individual serving baggies/containers of nuts or seeds. A hard boiled egg is a pretty good snack too.

Low fat popcorn satisfies my crunchy tooth, and clementines or apples hit the sweet spot

Anything that fits in my calorie goals.

One of the things I did early on was to go to the grocery store and markets etc. to have a really good browse to see what exactly was available and how many calories it was.

String cheese or mini Babybels are good too. The protein also helps with satiation.

Think food like it found in nature, then count it. Put everything in your MFP counter. Nuts are great. Put them on your food scale first, and eat plain nuts. Crunchy veggies (baby peppers) and slow eating fruit (apples, pears, oranges you have to peel) are great. I make kale chips and roasted cauliflower 'popcorn'. When I eat added sugar (candy, a cookie) I start craving sweets. So I think sugar is addictive for me.

Define "healthy". You can eat anything you want that is not poisonous.
