WWYD?Dodgy Scales?

So I have been working on losing weight for the last few weeks and staying under calorie allowance. Every time I would weigh myself there would be no budge. My scales are a bit funny as the display is very faint but thought it would be fine.

Anyway I come on holiday to my parents and decide to weigh myself on their scales too my shock I am 7 pounds LIGHTER!
What would you do?? Go by my parents scales? I am so delighted if this is the case.

    Change the batteries in your scale and see what it shows.

    When I change the batteries the screen is still faint.

    If changing the batteries didn't work, I'd replace the scale. Doesn't have to be a fancy or expensive one.

    There was a time when my scale was wonky -- I could get on and off three times in a row and get three different numbers. Before I could afford a new scale, I stopped in once a month at the county health clinic and used their scale. It was nice because the nurses were around to encourage me and applaud the good readings. :)

    Congrats on the loss. Be aware that there can be differences between scales that can account for a difference of a few pounds. When was tne last time before this that you weighed yourself on parents scales? Are you truly comparing apples to apples? Don't be shocked if your new scales give you a different weight. Pick one set of scales & stick with them and only them. Good luck!

    Make sure your scale is on a flat surface. Bathroom tile or carpet can mess things up. Still faint? A new one will run you about $20.

    I'm a big guy, so I went out and bought an industrial digital scale. Best scale purchase ever!! That beast will last a lifetime. Not cheap but I know it's 100% accurate.

    This happened to me with my digital scale and an analog one in the community restroom. You need a new scale. I was using both daily watching the digital spit out the same number and the analog showing a downward trend. The digital scale finally died and I use the analog one now.
